Top 10 Etsy Halloween Picks

Ghost and gobblins, tricks and treats, from kids to adults, everyone loves Halloween. I have always loved Halloween and still do! Etsy sellers offer a huge assortment of Halloween related items and I narrowed it down to my favorite 10. It was hard to choose with there being so many amazing things. Rather you're handing out candy, dressing up, horrifying your home, or having a party, there is something here for everyone!

This frightening wreath will be fabulous greeting little ghost at your door. I love how the tiny skulls are nestled upon shiny orange and black tinsel garland and the black bow ties it all together. From the Etsy shop of thechicadeeshop.

Someone show up to your fright night party without a costume? No worries, toss them a vintage mask and they're good to go. This is an awesome (and colorful) assortment of vintage Halloween masks from the Etsy shop of Plantdreaming.

Nothing says "ghost in the house" more than a Ouija board. This is the only real vintage Ouija board I could find on Etsy so grab it before it's gone and talk to those on the other side! From the Etsy shop of lookinglasshouse.

Whose fingers? I don't think we really need to know! If you've got dirty hands, clean them with these scarily fantastic finger soaps from the Etsy shop of ajsweetsoap. These would also make a great hostess gift or door prize!

I absolutely adore this pumpkin hat for any little one. Keep those little heads warm in this hat from KarlenKnits on Etsy. Grab your little one an orange sweat suit and voila, instant costume!

Don't these just look so tasty! Grab yourself a dozen of these Halloween inspired sugar cookies from the Etsy shop of TSCookies. You get two of each of these terrifyingly delicious cookies.

BOO! Sorry, I didn't mean to spook you. Place these fun and festive blocks on a shelve, mantel, or table and help your ghost get his words out! From the Etsy shop of YourCraftyFriends.

I bet those anxious little hands will think twice before grabbing candy from this gruesome bowl. Made to look like a jawbone this ceramic bowl looks amazingly life-like, especially the teeth! From the Etsy shop of MotherMacabre.

Creepy crawly and dangling from your ears, these silver spider earrings look as though they are spinning their webs right from your ears! From the Etsy shop of BeadsInTheBelfry.

Let the ghost know they're welcome at your home by hanging this cheesecloth banner that reads "GHOST". Your mind will have to wonder, is it the breeze blowing this in the wind or something more? You may never know! From the Etsy shop of funkyshique.

Items listed are in no certain order!

Fabric Bottom Cadlesticks- An Easy How-To

Hi everyone! Ok, so my new goal for my blog is to bring you more productive post. I don't want this blog to be consumed by my Etsy shop or my new items. So here goes! I made the cutest fabric bottom crystal candlesticks last night. These candlesticks are easy and inexpensive to make. Give them as gifts for birthdays, Christmas, housewarming's, hostess gifts, or for any other occasion.

Here's what you'll need:

1. Modge Podge
2. Crystal or glass candlestick
3. Fabric, just enough to cover the bottom so this is great for using scraps. You could also use pretty papers as well.
4.Pen or something for tracing
5. Scissors
6. Sponge brush

First, you're going to start by tracing around the bottom of the candlestick on the fabric. Set your candlestick on top of the design you want and using your pen trace around the bottom until you have a complete circle.

Using your scissors cut out your circle.

Now you are going to turn your candlestick bottom up. Dab the tip of your sponge brush with modge podge and gently apply the modge podge to the bottom rim of the candle stick, make sure you've covered the whole rim. *If your candlestick has a solid base apply the modge podge all over.

You are now ready to place your fabric on the bottom of the candlestick. Lay your fabric circle with the patterned side facing up. Turn your candlestick over and gently place it on the fabric. Be sure to make sure fabric is touching the entire rim. At this point you may need to gently tug the fabric to each side to make sure it's nice and tight.

Finally, apply modge podge all over your fabric using your sponge brush. Don't be scared, lather it on nicely! Place your candlestick bottom up again until it is dry. Once dry you are good to go!

Here's what your finished product should look like! Sorry the pics aren't the BEST, but it is hard to photograph glass, lol. I hope everyone enjoyed this. This would also be a great craft project to do with kids.

Later this week, we will be pulling out the ghost and goblins and giving you some great Halloween tips for decorating, food, and more!

New Items!

Hey everyone! So we are officially done with Summer and moving into Fall, my favorite time of year! The holidays are quickly approaching. Halloween is only a few weeks away, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas. A lot of people have started to buy Christmas gifts since the economy is still uneasy and the idea of waiting until the first of December to start buying everything seems a bit out there. I'm getting my shop geared up for the holiday season and I will be trying (key word, trying) to add new items each week. I will also be offering promos. Right now my promo is a BOGO sale (yes yes I love bogo sales). When you buy any switch plate cover you can purchase the matching outlet cover upgrade for only $2.50!Visit my Etsy shop here.

News From Both of My Etsy Shops

Hey my lovely readers! Hope you all are doing fabulous! Well, I just wanted to let you all know what's going on with my Etsy shops.

1st, I want to announce that my pattern shop will be closing. I've decided to close it and concentrate more on my other shop with my handmade items. All of the patterns have been marked more than 50% off. I will not be re-listing or listing anymore patterns. Once a pattern's time has expired that's it. My unsold patterns will be donated to a local thrift store for someone else to find! You can visit my shop, Patterns4All on Etsy for some GREAT deals. Check out Patterns4All on Etsy!

My main shop She's Chic Boutique on Etsy has some great new items. I've added some new switch plates that are covered in some awesome fabrics and there's something for everyone. Also, I have teamed up with daffodilhill on Etsy. She sales awesome fabrics and if you find something in her shop that you would like a switch plate in, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will get working with you to create exactly what you want. Of course, if you find a fabric you like elsewhere on Etsy just convo me or email me directly at cms_36451@yahoo.com and I would love to work with you!

My Fab Find!

You all know that I love thrift stores. I really really do. I love the excitement of not knowing what you may find. Of course, thrift shopping has it's off days. You may not find anything, particularly at the end of the week. I would say Friday, Saturday, and Monday's are not good days to go unless it's early on a Friday. Usually, because these are the days that most people go and things are picked over. How ever, during the week is a great time to go. My mom and I decided to check out one of our local thrift stores today and I couldn't be happier with what I found! Here's my find below!

These beautiful green glass compotes are most likely from the 70's. They all have a scalloped rim with a tear drop pattern around the top. I still can't believe I found this set. Of course they were a little dirty, but nothing soap and water couldn't handle. But, what you may not believe is the price I paid for these! The largest one was $3, the medium one $2, and the smallest one was $1! I know, amazing.

Want one for yourself? Check out the Etsy shop of jshanghailil and LaRella who both have one available.

Vintage- Garnish With A Lemon or Lime

Lemons and limes and vintage! What a great combination. I've decided to redo my kitchen in a lemon and lime theme. I've already got the yellow walls, now I just need the decor to go along! So in celebration of my kitchen I've put together this awesome collection of vintage items that will have you thinking about lemons and limes! All are from Etsy, of course.

This little juicer is perfect for those who love vintage, depression glass, and saving energy. Instead of plugging up that electric juicer use this one instead. Unlike your electric juicer you will not want to hide this one in the cabinet for later. It's gorgeous! Display it! From the Etsy shop of OakleafHollowVintage.

This is a beautiful and hard to find complete set of sunny yellow pyrex bowls! This is a pyrex collectors dream! These bowls are beautiful and would be so great displayed on a vintage hutch in your kitchen or dining room! From the Etsy shop of sassboxclassics.

This beautiful vintage vase will add some charm to any room in your home. Place it on the kitchen counter with fresh daisies or in your living room on the mantle. Anywhere you decide to place it would be great. From the Etsy shop of nine20nine.

This 1907 lithograph would be so lovely framed and on disply in your home. This is such a great print of lemons and limes. I love how it features a whole lemon and lime and then a slice of each. Such great detail! From the Etsy shop of rainydayvintage.

Meow! These vintage glasses are the perfect mix of lemon and lime. They feature an great yellow from with coordinating green lenses. Don't you love the cats eye shape? These are so retro chic! From the Etsy shop of thewoolgatherer.

I really love these- a lot. These vintage lemon salt and pepper shakers will add a dose of lemon-y goodness to any kitchen! They'll have you wanting lemonade every day I'm sure! From the Etsy shop of PinkKittyCrafts.

Vintage jewelry lovers rejoice! This gorgeous vintage bakelite bangle is the perfect accessory for anyone. Pair it with jeans and a tee or a sunshiny yellow skirt like the one below. It's a such a statement piece! From the Etsy shop beatomicbeauty.

This trio of yellow condiment bowls by West Virginia Glass Company are so lovely. While they are great for collecting I would definitely use them for special events such as a summer barbecue. These are from the Etsy shop of EasyOnTheEyes.

Wow! These avocado green goblets are absolutely amazing! They have a beautiful octagon shape with lovely stems. From the Etsy shop of DecoDeli.

Ooh la la, senorita! This stunning yellow vintage skirt is perfect for any lovely lady. It features beautiful white lace that just makes the yellow pop! From the Etsy shop of Thrush.

Can you say lemonade? I'm sure if I owned this vintage lemon shaped pitcher I would never serve lemonade out of anything else! Unlike your plastic pitcher you will not want to toss this one in the cabinet for later. You will want to leave it on display for everyone to see! From the Etsy shop of ModishVintage.

As always, I hope you enjoyed this feature. These shops all have some great things to offer beyond what is shown here! Have a lemon-y bright day with a lime twist of course!

It's official! I am now Mrs. Tony Brown!

Hey my wonderful readers! I'm here to let you all know that as of Saturday June 13 I am now Mrs. Tony Brown. That's right, I got married! We had a beautiful (hot, but beautiful) outdoor wedding here in our hometown in Alabama. The ceremony was held outdoors on a pine plantation over looking a beautiful lake. I was an emotional wreck Friday and most of the day Saturday but I made it down the isle and said I do to the man I love. It was one of the greatest days of my life, the honeymoon was much needed, and now it's back to reality. Here are some pics of our day! Here comes the bride! You can't tell it here but I was crying like a baby, lol.

This is a pic that my sis n law took, I love how she played with it and it looks almost airbrushed.

My best friend and my biggest fan. My mama and my daddy.

Yep, there's the man that has my heart. I love this man so much.

A happy bride indeed!

Kiss kiss! This was after the wedding. We we're finishing up our pictures and apparently someone caught us getting some kisses in.

Husband and wife..........and we shall live happily ever after...........

My husband with my niece Reanna who was our flower girl.

I love this pic, it's one of my faves and probably my choice to go in the local paper.

A funny, but cute moment. My hubby said "I Do" to soon and the pastor was like "hang on, I know you're ready, but not just yet." It was cute.

So that was our wedding, well not all of it but some. And I have to throw in that handmade all the boutonnieres and my bouquet as well. I know you can't tell it, but they're artificial. They look and even feel like a real rose, but they will last a lifetime! I'll be back in a few days with the regular routine. Hopefully I will have a give away soon!
