Top 10 Etsy Halloween Picks

Ghost and gobblins, tricks and treats, from kids to adults, everyone loves Halloween. I have always loved Halloween and still do! Etsy sellers offer a huge assortment of Halloween related items and I narrowed it down to my favorite 10. It was hard to choose with there being so many amazing things. Rather you're handing out candy, dressing up, horrifying your home, or having a party, there is something here for everyone!

This frightening wreath will be fabulous greeting little ghost at your door. I love how the tiny skulls are nestled upon shiny orange and black tinsel garland and the black bow ties it all together. From the Etsy shop of thechicadeeshop.

Someone show up to your fright night party without a costume? No worries, toss them a vintage mask and they're good to go. This is an awesome (and colorful) assortment of vintage Halloween masks from the Etsy shop of Plantdreaming.

Nothing says "ghost in the house" more than a Ouija board. This is the only real vintage Ouija board I could find on Etsy so grab it before it's gone and talk to those on the other side! From the Etsy shop of lookinglasshouse.

Whose fingers? I don't think we really need to know! If you've got dirty hands, clean them with these scarily fantastic finger soaps from the Etsy shop of ajsweetsoap. These would also make a great hostess gift or door prize!

I absolutely adore this pumpkin hat for any little one. Keep those little heads warm in this hat from KarlenKnits on Etsy. Grab your little one an orange sweat suit and voila, instant costume!

Don't these just look so tasty! Grab yourself a dozen of these Halloween inspired sugar cookies from the Etsy shop of TSCookies. You get two of each of these terrifyingly delicious cookies.

BOO! Sorry, I didn't mean to spook you. Place these fun and festive blocks on a shelve, mantel, or table and help your ghost get his words out! From the Etsy shop of YourCraftyFriends.

I bet those anxious little hands will think twice before grabbing candy from this gruesome bowl. Made to look like a jawbone this ceramic bowl looks amazingly life-like, especially the teeth! From the Etsy shop of MotherMacabre.

Creepy crawly and dangling from your ears, these silver spider earrings look as though they are spinning their webs right from your ears! From the Etsy shop of BeadsInTheBelfry.

Let the ghost know they're welcome at your home by hanging this cheesecloth banner that reads "GHOST". Your mind will have to wonder, is it the breeze blowing this in the wind or something more? You may never know! From the Etsy shop of funkyshique.

Items listed are in no certain order!

An Easy How- To

Wow, it seems like it has been forever since I posted a how to. With all this wedding planning going on I've neglected my blog and to my readers I'm so sorry. I will try to post more, I promise. Well the other night I was bored and feeling crafty so I decided to go create something. I didnt have anything in mind until I saw a cardboard box sitting in my bed room on the floor. Here's what I made!
These cute and shabby letters are made to spell out "NEST", because our home is our nest indeed.
I decided to sit them atop this canvas painting of a hydrangea in my craft room.

Here's what you'll need to make these:

cardboard
scissors
acrylic paint
pen or pencil
box cutter (optional)

First, decide how big you want your letters. It's really up to the individual. Mine are about 4 inches tall. Next get your cardboard out and lay it flat on a table. Now draw an outline for your letters. Remember, they need to be block letters in order for this to work. After you have each letter as you want it you can begin to cut them out. You may want to go over your outline with the box cutter to make cutting with the scissors easier. After you have each letter cut out you can then paint them. Mine are painted different colors, but of course you can paint them any color you would like. The bottom of each letter should be flat so they can stand (prop) on something such as a shelf, mantle, window sill, or any other place you would like to put them. You can also make smaller versions to use for scrap booking or make larger ones and embellish them. Be creative and have fun!

Throw A St. Patrick's Day Party At Home!

Hi all. Wow, I've been slow posting the last few weeks. I had a blast at Mardi Gras! It was toooooo much fun. Now it's time to move on to St. Patrick's Day. Rather your Irish or not, it doesn't matter. It's just another reason to have an awesome party and drink a lot. Here are some great Etsy finds to help you have an even better party! May you and yours have the luck of the Irish!

These great green cups are perfect for your St. Patty's Day festivities. These are vintage Anchor Hocking glasses. Grab this set of four from the Etsy shop of cutfromthesamecloth.

These little shamrock stickers are perfect for any St. Patricks Day party. Use them as shown on the bottom of some Hershey's kisses for your guest or as envelope seals for your party invites. For only $3 you will get 3 sheets of these, totaling 72 from the Etsy shop of letterhappy.

Make your friends green with envy with this stylish spreader. Use it at your party to make your buffet all the more interesting or take it as a gift for the hostess. This and more lovelies can be found in the Etsy shop of Beadz2Pleaz.

Napkins, napkins, napkins, you can NEVER for any reason have too many napkins. Spruce up your party with these green napkins. And guess what? They can even be embossed with your name. Pick up a set of 50 in the Etsy shop of terequade.

You will definitely need those napkins to catch these crumbs. For only $10 you can grab yourself (and guest of course) 1 dozen of these enticing green shamrock cookies. You can find these and more edible goodies in the Etsy shop of MariaElenaEvents.

These paper clovers will give your home the festive St. Patrick's Day feel it needs. I would suggest stringing these from door ways, windows, a mantel, and anywhere else your home needs to be festive. Grab these for only $1 in the Etsy shop of ScrappersByDesign.

New Addition To My Shop

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to start a new week. I recently added some new things in my Etsy shop. I am so pleased to announce the addition of fabric covered switch plate and outlet covers. These are great for any home and any room. They offer a quick home improvement at an inexpensive price. I only 2 available so far, but will be adding more soon. I am accepting custom orders, so if you have a favorite fabric just convo me! Here at the 2 I have done so far.

This is a fun and funky pink leopard print fabric covered switch plate cover. These are great for quick and inexpensive home upgrades.

Why stop at the switch plate cover? Here is the matching outlet cover. These will give any room an instant update.

And below are 3 fabrics I just ordered for switch plate and outlet covers.
This is a very lovely pink damask print fabric by Michael Miller. He never fails to bring us beautiful fabrics. I think this will make for a lovely light switch and outlet cover. I found this in the Etsy shop of HomeGrownPillows and purchased it. I couldn't pass this up.

Another lovely fabric from Michael Miller. This particular print is named Carnival Bloom. If a carnival had flowers growing I'm sure they would look like this. So beautiful! Purchased from the Etsy shop of ModFabric.

I honestly didn't realize all of my fabric purchases today were Michael Miller until this post. Lol. Oh well, shows how beautiful his work is. This is Michael Millers' ChaCha stripes fabric. Once the switch plate and outlet covers are finished in this fabric it will look awesome in a little girl or teens room. This was purchased from the Etsy shop of bluewhimsy.

As I mentioned previously if you would like something custom made for you just convo me on Etsy. I would love to work with you. I will be searching for and purchasing new fabrics so look for new additions soon.

A New Magnet Set In My Shop

As I'm sure you all know, I'm big on color. Last night I listed a new set of hand painted magnets. Each magnet has been hand painted on the back side of the glass gem and the coated with a non-toxic sealer before the magnet is glued on. Each magnet is between 1-1 1/2 inches. This set includes 1 magnet in each color of lime green, yellow, orange, hot pink, and bright blue. I have 2 of these sets available right now. I will be listing some sweet hand painted magnets that are perfect for Valentine's Day, so look for them soon.

Aren't these bright and fun? They are perfect for your fridge, lockers, magnetic memo board or any other magnetic surface. They are also nice and strong and will hold several papers in place!

Get these before they're gone! They would also make great additions to Easter baskets. It's not that far off!

Happy 21st Birthday To Me!!

Yay! Today is my birthday. 21 years ago on this date my mother was in labor with me for hours and hours. She knew then I would be stubborn. I didn't want to come out. I'm sure it was nice and warm in there and I was probably sleeping, I enjoy sleeping now. It wasn't until the doctor stood over her and pushed her belly did I pop on out. Thanks moma, I love you! Tonight my parents are taking me out to eat, mom has made me favorite cake (strawberry with strawberry icing), tomorrow my fiance's taking me to the city for dinner and a movie, and then next weekend we will travel to Biloxi, MS for some gambling fun. I'm so excited. I shall sit back and take it all in since never again will I turn 21. Here's to me!

What a shabby little set of birthday cards. I can have my cake and eat it too and I will! This card and tag set can be found in the Etsy shop of fabulousfinds. She's ingenious, telling me I can have my cake and eat it too!

Woop woop! It's time to make some noise! Get any party started with these fun noise makers from the Etsy shop StoriaHome. You've got to go check her shop out, she's also got some great home banners.

With this fun birthday painting from the Etsy shop of jennysbakeshop I could celebrate every day. Why not? I don't see why I couldn't celebrate everyday. Instead of this being just my day it could be my year too!

If I had this chic little birthday hat I would so wear it all over town today. I wouldn't give less than a damn what anyone thought. This sweet little birthday girl hat is from the Etsy shop of ArtfulMstudio.

These cupcakes make me think of my strwberry cake I will be eating tonight and tomorrow and until it's all gone. But guess what? These aren't edible! They're actually cotton candy and mango bath bombs! Yummy scrumptilicious! These and more sweet treats for your body can be found in the Etsy shop of AnitaCraftyCreations.

Well, my birthday is going great so far. My phone has been ringing non stop and the florist just delivered me some beautiful red roses from my daddy. Isn't that so sweet! I put them along side the ones my fiance has given me. I feel so special! 21 years old. Oh my, I'm on way up that hill that my parent's have all ready gone over. Here's to me! That the next 21 years will be better than the last 21! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Etsy Obsession- Banners!

I think banners are going to be a big hit this year. I might be wrong, but I doubt it! Banners can range in style from shabby chic, to vintage, to Holiday themes, to birthdays, and some are just inspirational. These are great strung over a bed, on your mantle, or anywhere that needs a little touch.

What could possibly inspire you more than this beautiful banner? The word create is so delicately placed and decorated onto this chipboard banner. jenniferpriest on Etsy can custom design a banner just like this for you!

Welcome home the newest addition to your family with this beautiful name banner from the Etsy shop of maryhadalittleparty (cute name!). This could be strung anywhere in the home or so preciously over the bed of your little angel.

Ahhh, to dream. Let your imagination flow with some inspiration from this sparkling banner spelling out the word dream. It is made from chipboard and then glittered with german silver glitter. From the Etsy shop of tripletrouble.

Sometimes it's best to just spell it out. Let your Valentine know just how much you love him/her with this sweet little banner from the Etsy shop of LesTissusBows. So simple and sweet.

I hoped you all enjoyed these lovely banners. Tomorrow's post will be themed for me! Lol. It's my birthday tomorrow! Yay! 21. Casino, here I come.

Decorate Your Home With A Chic Vintage Feel

I love vintage. I may say that too much. Oh well, it's true. I'm honestly in love with it to be exact. If I could decorate every room in my home with vintage items I would. Well, all of my rooms have vintage items, but I would love for each one to be completely vintage one day. These beautiful items from some great Etsy sellers will add charm and character to any home. Give your home the cottage style you've always dreamed of with these lovely vintage items.

This is a very charming and beautiful vintage glass door knob that will add instant chic to any home. This would perfect on a bathroom door. I actually bought one that I'm going to use on my white screen door. This can be found in the Etsy shop of BellaDays.

I love vintage linens. They add so much charm to a dresser, bed, or end table. This delicately embroidered dresser scarf from the Etsy shop of RedHenStudios is a must have. Draped over a lovely white dresser this would give your home the perfect touch of cottage style.

Everyone needs a piece of Fenton in their home. I'm very serious. Fenton has produced some of the loveliest and most elegant pieces of glass that I have ever seen. This Fenton daisy and button pattern candy dish from the Etsy shop of AntiqueCellar will add the perfect bit of charm to your home.

If your home doesn't have atleast one piece of white furniture, it needs it. White furniture is less "heavy" than other pieces and will always give your home a cottage feel. I actually have an entire room (my studio) which is done in light blue walls and all white furniture. The shabby glass knobs give this perfectly distressed table it's perfect touch. Find this and other lovelies in the Etsy shop of PerlineDesigns.

Everyone who knows me, knows I'm a sucker for milk glass and hobnail. Which is why I love these vintage white milk glass and hobnail candle holders. Paired with light blue or pink topiary candles these would be so shabby chic. At only $10 this is a steal from the Etsy shop of rosecottageemporium.

Your kitchen needs vintage love too. If you have glass front cabinets you need these. Another beautiful Fenton item indeed. These lovely pink Fenton hobnail sherbert cups scream girlie girl. What better to serve your best girl friends in than these perfect sherberts? Find these and more vintage items in the Etsy shop of jenscloset. Jen has taste, huh?

Isn't this bedspread absolutely gorgeous? Not only is it gorgeous, but it's in excellent condition. It's chennile polka dots give such a cottage chic feel. With just the right amount of pinks and blues this kneedletufted bedspread should be on the top of your cottage style wish list. From the Etsy shop of catnapcottage, this is one of the loveliest (if not THE loveliest) vintage bedspreads on Etsy. Even better, she has 2 available!

If your wanting a vintage or cottage feel in your home, but don't have tons of money to spend check out your local thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, as well as antique stores. Most of my vintage items have come from local thrift stores and most antique stores always have a clearance section and will sometimes take offers. Don't be shy about asking if they will take less, most likely they will and you will have some extra change in your pocket!
